Ellington Park

Ellington House area, that used to stand here, is said to be haunted by the 17th century family's daughter, who's ghost roams the tunnels beneath the house.
The wife has been seen in the park, running from her husband, also walking past the bandstand.
The husband, buried at St. Lawrence's church, is said to roam the park in a long, flowing robe.

Said to be visited by Rose, a woman believed to have once worked as a servant in a building formally on the site.
RAF Manston History Museum

A MoD fireman was on kitchen duty in the early hours of the morning when he spotted a semi-translucent figure wearing a flying helmet, Irvin jacket and Mae West life preserver.
Others had seen the entity, considered to be a pilot who crashed into a snow drift during the World War II.

Footsteps, lights flickering, curtains moving and doors slamming.
It' is believed that the previous owner/manager Sarah Thorne’s ghost has been seen, whilst another tale is that an actor who had been sacked returned, committing suicide by throwing himself from a viewing box into the orchestra pit.
Other paranormal activity includes a scream that begins back-stage, moves through the theatre and out the stage door. A sinister presence is also said to lurk under the stage.

A workman reported that the building he spent several years renovating in the square was haunted by an unseen entity.
He experienced a feeling as if 'walking into a cold shower' while in the basement, while a plumber on site left and refused to say why, even refusing to take payment for the work he had already completed.

The resident ghost, a man in an early Victorian military uniform, is a mysterious figure often seen leaning against an external wall, silently observing passersby.
There is also a female ghostly manifestation that is said to appear on a short flight of steps from the ground floor. She is often seen sitting on the top step, wearing either a long white dress or nightdress and a cotton cap.

It is said that the revenue man, who Joss Snelling, the infamous Broadstairs Smuggler, and his gang murdered here, still haunts within the pub, along with a manifestation of Snelling himself, whom witnesses have described as being a chubby older man surrounded by a putrid odour.
Crown Inn
Pub, Birchington
A smuggler was said to have been killed in the pub in the early 1800s. His ghost was seen on numerous occasions, with seafaring clothing of that period, surrounded by a strong odour of rum. The mystery of his death remains unsolved, adding to the pub's intriguing history.

A wraith-like figure is reputed to stalk the rooms and corridors. Caretakers have reported hearing whispering voices, loud disembodied footsteps, doors opening and closing by themselves and a general feeling of uneasiness.

Sailors who drowned on a rescue ship, the Victory, had used this pub and are said to haunt the inn.
The bar and cellar have had sightings of the ghost of a pale woman wearing a shroud.

The ghost of Isaac Jarman, Coxswain of Ramsgate Lifeboat (1860-1870) reportedly seen in the cellar.
The George & Heart

The former hotel was hit by German bombs during the Second World War.
Further damage was sustained in the 1953 Storm, the "George Inn" being flooded, and the water measured about 5 feet high inside the building.
The phantom woman observed here is thought to have been killed during the attack.

Several ghost investigations have been held at the hotel and Room 310, which is said to be haunted.
