Housed in a Grade II listed Victorian Magistrates Court and Police cells.
A unique collection of Margate´s history including that of the Borough Police from 1857, sea bathing and bathing machines, the 1815 arrival of Paddle Steamers, Cobbs Brewery and Bank.
There are exhibits about Margate in the war time, Roman-British History, Dr David Jarvis´s Wooden Jetty of 1824 and Eugenius Birch´s Iron Jetty of 1857.
