The Most Popular Lighthouses In Thanet

Lighthouses that have kept shipping safe in Thanet. These are the three most popular lighthouses.

  1. Built in 1691, this 26m tall lighthouse is an octagonal tower with balcony and lantern attached to a 2-storey keeper's house. It was first lit by fire in 1499.
  2. Opened in 1829, it stands 20m tall.
  3. This lighthouse on West Pier is a Grade II Listed Building, standing 11m tall.
